Na Piarsaigh (Limerick) 1-13 Crusheen (Clare) 0-9

The half time scoreline told a different story when Crusheen led by a point and for all the chances they had they could have been further ahead.

It took just under eight minutes for the first score of the game to come and it arrived from Kevin Downes of Na Piarsaigh, but Tony Meaney replied for Crusheen.

The sides were level after the restart and the Clare side took complete control of the match thanks to three fine points from Jamie Fitzgibbon and looked to be coasting for a win. But Na Piarsaigh Adrian Breen and Ken Dowling with a brace of frees mean that the sides were level at 0-9 to 0-9.

With 15 minutes remaining on the clock that the Limerick side really took their chance. David and brother Adrian Breen managed to score 1-4 between them and help them to their first Munster Senior Hurling Championship title.
