    From the 1st of December 2008 averts will appear in local newspapers announcing the start of the preparatory process for the Limerick City Development Plan 2010-2016.

It is from this date (the 1st of December) that a two year process will begin were everyone with interests in the proper planning and sustainable development of Limerick City can have their say in the new plan.

    As part of Limerick City Council's statutory requirements under the 2005 Disability Act the organisation is obliged to produce a Disabilty Plan outlining the work they propose to undertake to improve access to services for people with disabilities. The attached draft plan outlines the list of areas that Limerick City Council proposes to concentrate on over the next three years. You are invited to submit observations and comment. Closing dates for submissions from the public is the 25th January, 2008.

  The role of the document is to set a context for the identification of development opportunities in the city centre and to identify and make provision for consequent and necessary variations to the City Development Plan. (PDF - 6,268 Kb)
